She focuses on fostering leadership potential and maximizing potential in individuals and organizations. Her background includes 20+ years working in public, private and non-profit sectors in leadership development, team-building and communications and conflict management. LaCosta brings insights from Interpersonal Neurobiology, (IPNB) which is the study of neuroscience, psychology, and relationships into much of her work. This strengthens her understanding of effective personal and professional development and contributes to her tools for maximizing effective communication, self-awareness, and confidence and for helping to encourage positive relationship management in people and teams. Having been one of the first to develop several coaching and consulting models that blend relational neuroscience (IPNB), branding and communications and conflict strategies, she is a sought-after speaker and thought-leader in the areas of organizational culture and professional development.
LaCosta has consulted for, coached and presented to many professionals from line-workers, mid-management all the way to executive levels including but not limited to: Delaware Division of the Arts, First State Heritage Park, San Diego Health and Human Services, Abbott Vascular, University of Baltimore, the City if Durham, Portland State and the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad, CA. As a Board Certified Coach with special designations in Corporate/Leadership and Career Coaching, she has provided in excess of 3000 hours of coaching to individuals and teams. She is approved to administer many feedback and 360 assessment tools including Golden Personality Type Profiler, VAL, Style Matters, TKI, Leadership Potential Indicator, the Management & Leadership and many more. LaCosta is the recipient of both the H. Mebane Turner Service and the Thomas J. Pullen Outstanding Young Alumni Awards from the University of Baltimore. In 2013 she was chosen by San Diego Metro Magazine as one of 20 Women Who Impact San Diego. She has been featured in local, regional and national media. LaCosta now resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
